I have used the same audience research from my AS so therefore was trying to attract and address the same type of people. I decided a variety in the types of pictures I used for my contents page which is "Southside Dons" who are a grime band so i did not focus on one particular as I did in AS, I done this because from my audience research I discovered that pictures is what attracts people to the magazine with the second highest option being colour. With the colour scheme my audience research showed that Black is the colour that most people like so I have used it as one of the main colours in my product, however at AS I did not use black at all. I thinkusing a group of people on the contents page instead of one single person it a lot more powerful and will stand out, the colour scheme I have used is very strong as well and will also help to make my magazine stand out and attract my target audience. Formy front cover and double page spread I have used a image of just a female (Chaneesa) I personally think that this will help to attract a female audience as the Grime genre usually attracts males.
With my music magazine, i tried to attract my audience it many different ways, from the model i used, the type of pose he/she done, costume and props. For the images i have used in my magazine i chose the most controversial one for my front cover, i done this because 40%of all magazine purchases are determined by the content of the front cover, instead of brand loyalty. So i want to attract my audience straight away by having an interesting image that will appeal to them- young men and women aged between 16 and 19. Although that is the main age range for my target audience i think my magazine may appeal other ages as well, younger (teenagers) and maybe slightly older.

Because I have chosen the Grime genre, my magazine will attract a very specific audience as it is mainly UK artists this may reduce the amount of people it attracts but there is a very wide number of people who follow this genre. I have also used models that are of the same age as the target audience, this will help to attract the audience as they will be able to relate to them. On my front cover the image I used shows a lot of attitude which will attract the type of people in my target audience, I also think because it is a female and it is fierce it will appeal to teenage girls. For all three products I have done quite a lot of text and used few images despite this I think i made very good decisions with the images I chose because they are very well focused a have good lighting. I have used the front cover to promote and advertise which I think will attract my target audience as the things I have chosen to advertise I put thought about it as if I was the reader. I have decided to make the article about one of the band members (Chaneesa) who is also on the front cover, I decided to do this even though people will probably like to read about up and coming artists, I thought it would be something different to do an article about her story and how she became famous. this is something I personally would love to read about and will appeal to the young target audience of my magazine, I also think it is something that they will enjoy reading as they will be able to relate to it.
The cover line's included an update on current affairs which will keep the target audience entertained and is a useful way to attract an audience. from my audience research I discovered that people would not like their music magazine to be too long so my product goes up to about 85 pages which also is a convention of most magazines. the issues covered on the contents pages are quite masculine for example Giggs & Skepta's views on gang culture and Professor Green on girls this would probably attract more males which is why I tried to balance it out with making the model for the front cover and double pages spread a female to try and attract more females. Also because the article on the double page spread is quite sad it is probably something that girls would prefer to read. Although the genre of my magazine is Grime I have also included some R&B artists such as J.Cole and Eminem this could help to attract a wider audience because the genres are quite similar. Also I have used red in my colour scheme which connotes love and romance, this could help to attract a more female audience.
The colour scheme I have used is consistent across all 3 products, I done this on purpose as it is a convention but I also think that it helps the product to stand out more and will help the audience to associate the colours with the magazine. I have used a graffiti style font for my masthead which will help it to stand out as well as it being larger than the rest of the text. for the rest of the text i have used a simple but eye grabbing font. On the front cover I used a different font for the main masthead to garb the audiences attention.

As you can see from the raw image, my model is not wearing any make-up and isn’t wearing any outrageous or revealing clothes. I have done thin on purpose to show that you can be beautiful with out wearing loads of make-up and you can still be attractive without wearing revealing and sexy clothes. My model shows natural beauty she has a very smooth skin tone with very bright eyes that stand out, she is wearing very casual clothes a white and purple top with jeans and the purple converses around her neck. I used this with my magazine front cover as you can see the background is a two-toned colour of light and a darker purple. I like the way there is a slight colour scheme, even though i have used pink for the masthead, selling-line and cover lines.
The prop i used in the image for my front cover is unusual compared to others used in other magazines i have looked at, they mostly uses cameras, musical instruments etc. This unusual prop brings a difference to the magazine and will to attract my target audience. Despite this, with my content page and double page spread i have not used any props but still the images are attractive. My content page has two images as you can see, one of a close up of the female models face and one of a male standing next to my main model with her hand on his shoulder. The way my models are posing especially the main model shows attitude and quite the opposite from the look of the front cover which is that of innocence and a “sweet girl”. Again none of my models are wearing make-up or sexual clothes. I have also used a variety of different colours in my content page and have not kept to the colour scheme i used for my front cover.
For my double page spread i have used two images with the main model standing in front of the male model, this again, as i mentioned before shows an attitude and a different side to the model. I think this would attract/ address my target audience because it would maybe reach out to them as she is of their age and in a way is part of that social group. I have also represented this with the type of language i used in my music magazine. I used quite formal language throughout especially with my double page spread; this is again linked to they style of individuality my magazine is and i didn’t want to show the stereotype of using street slang.
