Front Cover

Strengths- The audience that I showed my final product to liked the image I used because it was very plain but strong. they also liked the font of the masthead and the way it stood out, they thought that it went well with the theme of the magazine. the colour scheme used was also something the audience liked as it again, went well with the theme. the audience thought that the colours I chose to use all went well together and with the background this made the front cover appealing and eye catching.

Weaknesses-One main weakness that most of the audience gave was that the front cover is quite bare and pointed out specific areas in which they thought there should have been more text or something to put in the gaps. some people thought that the colours especially the red was a bit too bold and bright. another criticism that stood out was that the background was a bit plain and not very eye catching. also that the whole front cover was quite dark with the background and picture and suggested that I should brighten the picture in photoshop.

Contents

Strengths-The audience liked that I used a very bold font for the title and it stood out a lot, they also liked that all the page numbers stood out as well and were bolder that the rest of the text. also with the text it was mostly on the right hand side which they thought gave a very nice layout. the audience also thought that it was quite neat and liked the fact that i used a red background this time instead of black which was used for the front cover, but I still kept with the colour scheme. One of the main strengths was that it was a lot brighter than the front cover and slightly more eye catching.

Weaknesses- One of the only criticisms I got for the contents page was the lack of images and a bit too much text. the audience thought that if there was a bit of more balance between the pictures and text, it would make them actually want to read it.

Double Page Spread

Strengths- The main title was very bold and feminine which made a difference to the contents and front cover. the audience also liked that the article was not too long which made it less boring.

Weaknesses- The main weakness was that there was only one image used, the audience said that if there was a bit more images, it would make it more appealing. Also with the image, when you zoomed in you could see that the image was not very well blended in to the background.
